CROWNCOM 2019 program intends to include a number of special sessions aiming at addressing emerging research areas or specific hot research topics in wireless communications, which are not covered in regular sessions or could complement them.
Each special session will typically be around 1h 30min long, and consist of 5 oral presentations. Other formats may be possible and should be discussed with the Special Session Chair.
Prospective organizers of special sessions at CROWNCOM 2019 are invited to submit their proposals no later than November 30th, 2019, by e-mail to the special sessions chair Dr. Paweł Kryszkiewicz (email@example.com). Decisions will be available approximately one week after.
Proposals for the special sessions should be submitted in pdf format and should include the following information:
- Title of the special session
- Brief summary of the topic: description of research areas, timeliness, motivation and rationale including distinctive features and key issues justifying a special session (20 lines max)
- Organizers: names, affiliations, contact data, short CV (less than 300 words).
- If known, tentative program, including list of the envisaged papers (title, authors, affiliation).
The criteria for the assessment of proposals will include, among others, the quality, the timeliness, the originality and the ability to attract key researchers of the community as speakers to the session.
Each paper of an accepted special session will be submitted according to the regular submission deadlines, and be subject to peer reviewing. Special session papers should follow the same submission guidelines as the regular paper. It is the duty of the Special Session organizers to invite the speakers, secure their presence, select the reviewers, and manage the review process (with the same deadline and review system as those of the regular papers). The acceptance decisions will be made by the special session organizers together with the TPC Chairs.
At least one of the organizers is expected to register, attend the conference and chair the session. All the speakers will be required to register and to attend the conference. There is no fee waiver, neither coverage of any cost for the organizers or the speakers.
