Abstract:
This panel session focuses on the regulation and standardization landscape of cognitive radio. The realization of cognitive radio systems and services are heavily dependent on the regulation framework.
Some countries have already issued clear policy and regulations, while other countries are watching these countries. Four panelists are invited from US, Europe, Asia and ITU-R to discuss about the regulatory and standardization trends and future directions of cognitive radio in regional and global levels, as well as inconsistency and harmonization of policies.
